The Steinway Court Veterinarian is a New York State accredited hospital. This means that our hospital has undergone a rigorous inspection by the New York State Veterinary Medical Society. The society sets strict criteria that must be met. Everything from surgical equipment to library texts are reviewed and scrutinized. Only those hospitals that can meet the society’s high standards can become accredited. We are members of the New York City, the New York State Veterinary Society, American Veterinary Society, and the Veterinary Dental Society to name a few.
Dr. Robert Glasser
Dr. Robert Glasser, the sole veterinary practitioner of Steinway Court Veterinarian, has long been involved with the care and treatment of animals. Since his early training at Colorado State University and at such animal welfare institutions as the Humane Society and Bide-A-Wee, he's found a special niche with those who share his philosophy and love of animals.

His beliefs stem from an understanding of the human-animal bond formed in the day to day relationships we have with our pets. One of Dr. Glasser's hobbies and special interests is herpetology. Steinway Court Veterinarian offers high quality "state of the art" veterinary care in a neighborhood setting. An in-house laboratory yields blood results in less than 15 minutes. Cardiac consultations with a board certified cardiologist is possible with advanced telephone technology. A vet scope allows pet owners to view formerly hidden areas such as their pets’ ear canals on a television monitor.

Ultrasonography is available and routinely performed. Computerized intravenous pumps, a 300-ma X-ray machine as well as a sophisticated dental X-ray machine just for pets are also routinely used. Along with our dental x-ray’s we also use an ultrasonic dental scaler and polisher as well as a high-speed drill. All are available for your pets' care and comfort. Dr. Glasser's special interests also include dentistry and pain management. But the personal touch is never forgotten. Dr. Glasser believes strongly in providing the quality of care for your pets that you would expect for a family member.
